PEMF – Pulsed Electro-Magnetic Field Therapy
PEMF is Pulsed Electro Magnetic Field Therapy. When I first saw PEMF on the Dr. Oz show I was relieved to learn of a non-invasive, non-toxic, and often fast acting therapy that was available in the United States.
raSa health has invested in the premiere PEMF equipment developed for the Clinical Setting. Yes, there are other versions available in the marketplace and they all work to some extent. There are few that can compete with the power and effectivemenss with the Magna-Pro – High Voltage PEMF. For more information on how PEMF can help you click HERE
In active stretching you control the muscle stretch yourself, as in yoga and posing. In passive stretching, the therapist moves your muscle. Out trained staff will take you through a series of passive stretches specific to your need resulting in:
- Allowing greater muscle stretch
- Controlling the intensity of the stretch
- Enabling you to relax during the stretch
- Lengthens muscle fibers that have contracted from lack of use or overuse
- Restores flexibility to the muscle after injury
- Restores muscle balance
- Warms the muscles
- Increases overall flexibility
The benefits of stretching can be felt throughout the body. It helps stimulate the digestive organs, reduces inflammation in joints,
relieves tension, improves concentration, improves posture and structure which enhances function.
Chiropractic is the largest, non-drug, non-surgical, health care profession in the United States with over 21 million visits to Chiropractors every year.
The Doctor will assess your needs and determine if light force-Chiropractic or high-force Chiropractic is the best solution for you. Chiropractic treatment is based on the relationship between the muscles, nerve joints of the spine, and the extremities. Chiropractors perform manual treatments of the joints called, "adjustments" as well as soft-tissue treatment to the muscles, fascia and ligaments to restore normal function.
What occurs in the spine and extremities that is treatable with manual techniques?
There are three common areas of stress
Physical stressors For example sitting or sports injuries which cause gradual or acute muscle injury:
Emotional Stressors: Unresolved emotional or repetitive emotional reactions which cause reactive muscle tension
Chemical Stressors: Poor nutrition, pollution which reduce the healing capacity of the body and can also cause reactive muscle and nerve tension.
Any one or combination of the above can cause the heavily innervated joints of the spine and the extremities to lose their normal range of motion, and in turn change the function of the muscles attached to the spine and the nerves that carry information to and from the spine
This complex of changes is called, "Subluxation" or joint dysfunction. The dysfunction can affect the health of the entire body. When there is a lack of motion in a joint, or too much motion, adhesions and scar tissue can form in the ligaments and capsule of the joint in an attempt by the body to "stabilize" it. Adhesions and scar tissue can form in the muscles that attach to the spine or the extremities causing muscle weakness, atrophy or pain. Lack of motion can cause inflammation where the nerve root exits and can cause pain, numbness and weakness in an extremity such as sciatica or cervical nerve root syndromes. Tension in the joints and muscles of the upper back and neck can cause both muscular and nerve-mediated headaches from the upper cervical spine. Research and clinical cases have shown that the viscera can be affected by spinal dysfunction leading to functional problems such as: asthma, allergies, sinus and digestive problems.
How do adjustments stop this process?
There are many types of chiropractic adjustments. But all techniques seek to removal spinal joint dysfunction and its effects. Chiropractors find areas of abnormal motion through specific palpation and movement tests.
